Reporting to the Manager, Finance, Risk and Compliance this role supports the agency’s strategic and operational objectives by efficiently coordinating and assisting risk and governance functions ensuring compliance with regulation and policy.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintain the Risk Management, Risk Register, and Legislative Compliance Frameworks and contribute to business continuity, response and recovery planning.
- Maintain the Policy Register and review all risk and legislative compliance policies and procedures to ensure any regulatory changes are reflected and implemented in a compliant manner.
- Undertake financial, risk and compliance reviews as required and coordinate the annual auditor program in accordance with policies, procedures and work plans.
- Use finance and other related systems to extract, analyse and monitor data for accuracy in the preparation of performance reporting and other governance, risk and compliance reports and assist in the preparation of monthly and annual reports
- Provide support and assistance to the team with various functions relating to financial and compliance obligations
Ideally you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience working with governance, risk and or compliance frameworks, preferably within a government setting.
- Prior experience in business continuity, response and recovery planning, and coordinating and conducting risk assessments and audits.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of policies, legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven capability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
