APS6 Training Facilitation Officer
We're looking for a motivated Training Facilitation Officer to join our Federal Government Client on a 12-month assignment based in Geelong. This role offers an hourly rate of $60.26 + superannuation.
The Role
As a Training Facilitation Officer, you will play a key leadership role in designing and delivering engaging training programs for our workforce that build capability and support improved outcomes for First Nations people with disability. You will work closely with internal teams, First Nations stakeholders, and external providers to create learning experiences that are culturally safe and effective.
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating training sessions, workshops, and learning events in a variety of formats including face-to-face, virtual, and blended learning.
- Collaborating with First Nations stakeholders to co-facilitate training that incorporates lived experience and community perspectives.
- Promoting a psychologically safe and trauma-aware learning environment through respectful facilitation practices.
- Gathering and analyzing participant feedback to continuously improve training delivery.
- Providing support and coaching to other facilitators.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in training facilitation and adult learning. You should have a clear understanding of cultural safety and First Nations perspectives. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt their facilitation style to engage diverse audiences.
While not essential, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) is highly desirable, as is experience working with or in First Nations communities.
