APS6 Project/Contract management Officer
The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced APS6 Project Officer with a passion for improving health outcomes for Australians? One of our federal government clients is seeking a skilled and proactive Project /Procurement Officer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects that improve access to primary care for people living in rural and remote communities.
This is an initial 6-month contract, with a possibility of an extension.
The Role:
As an APS6 Project/Procurement Officer, you will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of key evaluation projects within the branch. Your work will directly inform policy and program reforms that address medical workforce challenges and market failures in rural health.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing project plans for evaluation activities.
- Coordinating contract management, including preparing tender documentation and managing selection processes.
- Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to gather essential input and documents.
- Preparing high-quality briefing materials on project progress for senior staff.
- Conducting desktop reviews of programs.
- Supporting the team with other tasks as required.
About You:
Highly organised and adaptable professional with a proven track record of managing projects, ideally within the Australian Public Service (APS). You will be a strong communicator, capable of building effective relationships with stakeholders and preparing clear, concise written materials. Experience in policy or program evaluation is highly desirable.
