APS6 Production Coordinator
Location: Hobart, Launceston or Devonport
Full time hours Monday to Friday
Flexible work arrangements - working from home available
12 months contract
Hourly rate: $60.24 per hour + super
Australian citizenship is required.
We're seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to join a dynamic Digital Media Team within a key Australian Government agency. This is a newly created APS6 equivalent role, offering a unique opportunity to shape organisational processes and contribute to impactful digital content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate planning, logistics, and schedules for multi-format content production.
- Ensure all necessary consent and accessibility documentation is completed and archived.
- Support senior team members with logistics, reporting, and day-to-day coordination.
- Contribute to maintaining production records and regular team reporting.
- Manage end-to-end project management and stakeholder coordination.
- Confidently manage production crews, contractors, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage procurement processes, including sourcing quotes, raising purchase orders, and tracking vendor delivery.
About You:
- We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about leading the coordination of content creation across social and digital media. You will be an innovator with:
- Hands-on experience coordinating video and content production, ideally within Australian government or large organisations.
- Clear understanding of end-to-end content production.
- Familiarity with approvals processes, accessibility requirements (captions/transcripts), and consent protocols.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating video and/or animation production in a creative or agency setting.
- Familiarity with production documentation and workflows (e.g., video briefs, production schedules).
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of Australian Government communications protocols or experience working in an Australian Government environment.
- Understanding of accessibility requirements in video production (e.g., captions, transcripts, audio description).
- Experience using project management or content tracking tools and the wider Office 365 environment (e.g., SharePoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Familiarity with copyright, consent, and usage rights for visual media.
- Exposure to Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Premiere Pro or Media Encoder.
