A respected government organisation is seeking a capable Actuarial Officer (ASO4) to join their Actuarial Services team on a 6-month contract. You’ll play a vital role in supporting financial and actuarial analysis across key superannuation schemes affecting public sector employees.
What you’ll be doing:
Assisting with the triennial valuation of the State’s defined benefit superannuation schemes, including SA Police and Triple S.
Gathering and preparing data for detailed actuarial analysis.
Undertaking research, modelling, and data interpretation to support strategic discussions.
Developing reports and presentations for senior leadership.
Programming and statistical modelling using VBA, R, or Python.
What you’ll bring:
A degree in a numerate or finance-related field.
Completion of at least two foundational actuarial subjects via the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or a recognised international body.
Membership with the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
Confidence working independently on analytical projects.
A detail-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office and strong technical modelling skills.
