Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join a leading financial services organisation in a permanent, full-time position. They are based in Melbourne CBD and have hybrid working arrangements (2 days in the office).
Your responsibilities:

- Overall responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of the general ledger on a monthly and annual basis to allow the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Responsible with the completion of the balance sheet and bank reconciliations on a weekly basis.
- Preparation of financial statutory documents, school financial statements.
- Working closely with the team for budgeting, forecasting and month end reporting
- Preparation of Trial balance each month end.
- Undertake ad hoc projects / duties as required to support the team
What experience will you have:
- 3-5 year's experience in a similar or related role preferred
- Financial Services experience is preffered
- Relevant Accounting / Finance qualifications, CA or CPA helpful
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to manage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to use initiative and be proactive
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong work ethic, diligence, integrity
- Detail-oriented and meticulous
