Recruiting for an Account Manager for a Leading National Metal Distributor (Wear and abrasion Market), the role comes with Trade Vehicle (Hilux) Looking after North Queensland region with a mining Focus.
What you will be responsible for:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the mining sector, with a focus on offering wear solutions to reduce client's ultimate costs.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline through lead generation, networking, and conducting onsite trials to demonstrate product benefits.
- Building and nurturing relationships with mine owners, design consultants, EPCs, OEMs, and service contractors.
- Developing a solid understanding of our semi-technical steel plate products and their application in the mining industry. A background in metallurgy, fabrication, or welding is useful, though not essential.
- Delivering compelling sales presentations and conducting product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our steel plates.
Requirements
- High school qualifications are essential, and degrees will be considered, but your attitude and energy are what matter most.
- You’ve got a proven track record in B2B sales, ideally in the mining or industrial services sector. Familiarity with steel products, especially wear applications, is a big plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key, along with the ability to solve problems and negotiate. You’ve got a technical aptitude and a desire to learn and grow within our business.
