About the Opportunity
Are you a commercially driven sales professional with a passion for high-tech collaboration and networking solutions? We are seeking a Sales Account Manager to join our scaling technology consultancy in Melbourne.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end sales cycle for an existing client portfolio while actively identifying and converting new business opportunities. You will act as the primary point of contact for your accounts, working alongside elite pre-sales technical and delivery teams to position world-class solutions across collaboration, security, and networking.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management: Build and grow relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment with their business priorities and long-term goals.
Opportunity Execution: Own the full sales cycle—from discovery and solution design through to pricing, commercial response, and deal closure.
Technical Collaboration: Work closely with internal technical specialists and vendors to shape complex solutions that solve real customer challenges.
Portfolio Growth: Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities specifically across Cisco technologies and our specialized service offerings.
Pipeline Discipline: Manage your sales funnel, deal progression, and forecasting with high accuracy using ConnectWise.
Brand Representation: Represent the business at customer meetings, partner engagements, and key industry events.
A Typical Day
Morning: Review your pipeline, prioritize key accounts, and align with internal teams on next steps for open opportunities.
Mid-morning: Engage directly with customers to uncover needs and progress active deals.
Afternoon: Collaborate with technical teams on solution design and proposals while updating your forecasts.
Sales Cadence: Your focus is balanced across customer engagement (45%), internal collaboration (10%), and maintaining technical knowledge (10% Cisco/10% Networking).
Who You Are
Experienced: You have 3–5 years of experience in B2B technology sales or account management.
Solution-Savvy: You have a background in collaboration, contact centre, networking, or security solutions.
Relationship Builder: You can navigate different stakeholder levels and work collaboratively across sales and delivery teams.
Structured & Proactive: You take ownership of your pipeline and use CRM data to drive results.
Desirable: Exposure to Cisco technologies (Webex, Meraki, Security) and a degree in Business or IT will be highly regarded.
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated ability to progress complex deals through to closure.
Strong commercial mindset and ownership of revenue outcomes.
Proficiency in CRM platforms (ConnectWise or similar).
Excellent communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
Flexibility to travel approximately 15–20% for customer engagement.
