- Hourly Rate: $60.24 + super
- Contract Term: 12 months with possible extension

Randstad is proud to be partnering with a Federal Government Agency to recruit an experienced APS6 Service Designer. This role offers the opportunity to help improve how essential services are designed and delivered to Australians with disability.
As a Service Designer, you will be part of a team focused on improving participant experience through user-centred design practices. You’ll help identify challenges in current services, co-create better processes, and ensure that all changes are inclusive, effective, and aligned with strategic priorities.
You will work closely with stakeholders and service users to design services that are accessible and responsive to real needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research and generate insights to inform service improvements.
- Map current state experiences and co-design future service journeys and processes.
- Facilitate workshops and design-thinking sessions to collaboratively develop solutions.
- Ensure service changes align with digital service standards and provide consistency across channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to embed participant voices in the design process.
- Support the evaluation and delivery of service improvements from concept to implementation.
- Contribute to reporting, planning, and the use of design tools and systems.
About You
- Strong experience in service design, UX, human-centred design, or customer experience roles.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and collaborative design.
- Confident in translating insights into practical service improvements.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Public sector experience or understanding of service delivery environments is desirable.
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory for this role.
