I moved to Australia from Ireland in 2014 with my fiancé, I arrived with a single backpack and initially spent time in Sydney, Melbourne & the outback before reaching my final destination in Brisbane. I hadn't intended to stay in Brisbane but the sunshine, lifestyle and beaches were too good to leave.

In 2016, Randstad offered me a position on their Government team as a Consultant and since then my career has grown from strength to strength. In 2018, I realised I wanted to specialise in the IT sector and Randstad supported this transition for me and made it as smooth as possible. That is one thing I appreciate the most about Randstad is that they support their people who want to change direction or try something new. I have been promoted twice since joining the Technologies team and I am now a Principal Consultant.

Joining Randstad gave me a clear career path, an opportunity to set roots in a country I love and has facilitated me reaching some of my personal goals such as buying my first home and becoming an Australian Citizen. Randstad offers a lot of flexibility and incentives which has been another amazing element of working here. I have been able to visit the Whitsunday Islands, Hunter Valley & Byron Bay with some of my colleagues from across Australia to celebrate our achievements.
