About The Company
Our client, situated in Orange, is a national, leading supplier of building materials with over 100 years of proven success in the industry.
About the Role
Due to company growth, this opportunity has become available, reporting to the Head of Trades to support the team by supervising and assigning warehouse operational tasks to teams, including receipt of inbound goods, putting away of inventory, order picking, customer order packing, and freight consignment of goods to customers.
... - Recruit, induct, onboard and train all newly hired employees
- Lead the warehouse team to deliver results, driving continuous improvements in Safety, Service and Productivity
- Manage operational labour performance, and take action to ensure targets are consistently achieved
- Coach, mentor and drive performance of the warehouse team, providing clearly defined tasks and feedback
- Conduct performance development planning with all direct reports and identify opportunities for career development and succession planning
- Actively participate to ensure a safe working environment for all, monitoring and reporting on Work Health & Safety compliance
The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- 2+ years experience in a fast paced role, supervising warehouse staff essential
- Warehouse experience and/or exposure to industrial products essential
- Forklift licence and high reach experience essential
- Experience with performance management and driving a team to successful outcomes required
- Resolution and results focused, self motivated, can prioritise and problem solve efficiently
- Good computer/MS Suite skills are critical to this role, and previous experience with MS Dynamics highly regarded
