Are you a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter ready for an immediate start on diverse building projects? We're urgently seeking someone for a 3-month temporary role in Hornsby, with strong potential to transition to a permanent position within a reputable organisation.

As a Carpenter, you'll provide high-level carpentry services for various structures and buildings in the Hornsby area. Working collaboratively with project and technical officers, you'll handle everything from construction and repairs to proactive maintenance. This role also offers the opportunity to step into a lead capacity during a supervisor's absence.
- Schedule: 9-day fortnight, 38 hours per week
- Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- High-level construction, maintenance, and repairs for diverse structures.This role requires someone with a wealth of experience in carpentry.
- Operational oversight and mentor-ship of apprentice staff.
- Identifying and rectifying issues to ensure buildings are maintained to high standards.
- Ensuring safe, efficient use, storage, and security of all tools and materials.
- Communication and customer service skills. Maintaining excellent relationships with building occupants, staff, and the public.
- Safely towing and assisting with the assembly/dis-assembly of a mobile stage (6.50m x 4.00m x 4.25m high).
- Completing all required reports and adhering to WHS policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- School Certificate or equivalent.
- Trade Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent formal training/qualification).
- Current NSW Driver's Licence.
- Demonstrated experience as a Carpenter at an advanced level of knowledge and skills.
- Ability to act in a supervisory capacity when required.
- Highly motivated, reliable, and committed to quality craftsmanship.
- A strong understanding and commitment to WHS responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, public, and stakeholders.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
