About your next role
- You must be Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, in accordance with Federal Government compliance standards.
Are you enthusiastic and looking to progress your career in IT further? As a Travelling Support Technician, you will be the hands-on technical expert ensuring vital technology remains operational for our remote communities, retail stores, and corporate offices.
- Install and maintain a variety of simple key technologies including POS systems, CCTV cameras, NVRs, and networking equipment
- Support end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, and associated software
- Perform basic network resolutions including port testing, re-terminations, and WAP diagnostics
- Assist the Help Desk team using ITIL-aligned processes for incident and asset management when not travelling
- Maintain accurate records of hardware configurations and contribute to the internal knowledge base
- Provide high-quality customer service by communicating technical information clearly to non-technical users
- Travel to remote communities via light aircraft and 4WD to perform technical maintenance, troubleshooting, and product installation.
What we look for
- You are technically proficient and enjoy a mix of field-based problem solving and office-based support.
- Continuous 4+ years of relevant - hands on experience in computer hardware and software, professionally or through personal endeavours well regarded
- Familiar with Service Desk or Helpdesk environments
- Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
- Ability and willingness to travel to remote First Nations communities. While not a full time travelling role, applicants will need to be willing to travel upwards of 60 days throughout a year, on travel commitments.
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- Relevant working history, including Permanent Residency within Australia
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Ability to obtain necessary clearances for remote community work
