About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Track Machine Operator to operate specialised rail plant and equipment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing, and operating on-track machinery across rail infrastructure projects.
Key Duties:
- Operate and maintain a variety of machines on track
- Perform daily pre-start checks and minor maintenance on plant
- Follow safe work procedures and report any hazards or incidents
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and ground crews
- Ensure timely completion of works with minimal disruption to rail operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating track machines (essential)
- Current RIW card (Rail Industry Worker)
- Valid machine competencies and VOCs
- Valid TMO ticket + Cat 1 Medical
- Strong understanding of rail safety protocols and procedures
- Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and outside of the machine when required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
