Randstad Digital are currently working with a fantastic Utilities organisation based in Brisbane’s North to find a number of Test Analysts to join their team for 12-month contracts. This role will be responsible for ensuring robust test coverage across FAT, SAT, and UAT phases. It involves test planning, execution, and quality assurance for technology and process changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate testing events, including the development and management of test cases and plans for all testing cycles (FAT, SAT, UAT).
- Lead and participate in defect triage meetings to resolve issues and track them in tools like Jira.
- Engage with stakeholders to confirm testing approaches, determine outcomes, and gather insights.
- Prepare and coordinate test reports and deliverables, ensuring stakeholder endorsement.
- Ensure requirements traceability throughout the testing process.
- Coordinate the RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer Queensland) review of test cases for each formal testing cycle, and develop new test cases as needed.
Necessary Skills:
- 5-7+ years as a Test Analyst in complex system environments, preferably within the energy sector.
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or similar certification.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools like ALM, Jira, and Xray.
- Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Ideal Experience:
- Experience with real-time industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with AEMS (OSI Monarch), SCADA systems, or energy trading platforms.
- Exposure to the energy sector and the National Electricity Market (NEM).
