- Rate: circa $62.48 per hour (HEW 6) + on-costs
- Duration: ASAP until 17 October 2026 (Secondment Replacement)
- Location: Melbourne City Campus (Full-time onsite)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the daily operations of chemistry laboratories.
- Manage equipment calibration, maintenance, and chemical/gas inventories.
- Implement and develop SOPs, SWIs, and Risk Assessments.
- Provide technical training, advice, and inductions for laboratory users.
- Ensure full compliance with OH&S legislation and university safety policies.
About You
- Possess a Degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive laboratory experience, particularly in chemical waste and gas cylinder management.
- Strong knowledge of safe laboratory practices and OH&S requirements.
- Hold a valid Victorian Working with Children Check (mandatory).
