About the Role
Are you a strategic finance professional who thrives on being the "bridge" between technical data and operational excellence? Randstad is working with a public sector organisation in Ballarat that is seeking a Team Lead Financial Partnering to lead the finance business partnering function.
Managing an organisational budget of over $100 million, you will play a high-visibility role in translating complex financial reporting into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities within the role
Provide high-level advice to core Business teams regarding budget tracking, accounting updates, and variance analysis.
Lead the finance business partnering team
Own the monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, assist in preparing board packs
perform complex financial modelling to support executive decision-making.
What You Will Need to Succeed
We are looking for a proactive leader who doesn't just report on the "YTD" but looks toward the "future" to identify gaps and opportunities.
Skills and Experience:
CA or CPA qualification is highly preferred.
Advanced Excel skills and professional experience with large-scale ERP systems
Demonstrated experience in people leadership and the ability to "cascade" complex data into terminology that operational teams understand.
strong communication skills with experience managing relationships with Managers and Executive teams.
Deep experience in financial business partnering, budget forecasting, and complex modelling.
A proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and a desire to understand the "why" behind the numbers.
