Randstad Senior Finance are currently partnering with a leading Australian organisation within the production and distribution industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Accountant to take responsibility for optimising, maintaining, and supporting the organisation's financial systems, most critically TechnologyOne (TechOne), located in Melbourne's CBD.
This role ensures that core finance processes remain highly efficient, compliant, and well-supported through robust system configuration, user support, reporting solutions, and continuous improvement. Working closely with Finance, ICT, and operational teams, you will act as the key systems anchor for the department.
Key Responsibilities
Systems & ERP Responsibilities (Primary Focus):
... Lead the day-to-day administration and optimisation of TechnologyOne Financials.
Act as the primary Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) for TechOne across the entire business.
Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, coordinating closely with ICT and external vendors.
Develop, maintain, and improve comprehensive financial reporting using TechOne Ci/Ai.
Ensure strict data quality and system integrity across all utilised TechOne modules.
Provide ongoing user support, technical guidance, training, and documentation to staff.
Support end-to-end testing cycles, upgrades, patches, and any new module implementations.
Review, document, and enhance finance workflows to fully align with system capabilities.
Management & Financial Accounting Support:
Support month-end close processes utilising system-driven workflows.
Assist with functional and departmental reporting requirements.
Provide regional business units with dedicated support regarding system-related reporting or data issues.
Maintain highly accurate financial data by leveraging built-in system controls.
Support the preparation, interface, and review of corporate journals and interface postings.
Safeguard balance sheet integrity through system-driven verification processes.
Projects & Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify, design, and implement system improvements to drive operational efficiency.
Document technical system processes, internal controls, and newly developed training materials.
The ideal candidate:
CA or CPA qualification, highly preferred.
Hands-on, practical TechnologyOne experience is strictly required. You must possess a proven background blending systems accounting with traditional financial accounting.
Strong TechOne configuration and reporting capability combined with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. A comprehensive understanding of system integrations and data flows is essential.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the proven ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
A current, valid Australian driver's licence is mandatory for this position.
