Seeking a Structural Engineer who lives for practical design engineering. If you’re tired of theoretical office designs and want to see your work standing (and supporting thousands of tonnes) on-site next week, this is for you.
You won’t just be crunching numbers; you’ll be solving puzzles. Your day-to-day involves:
Custom Design: Creating robust formwork and falsework solutions for complex bridge decks, piers, and tunnels.
Tier 1 Collaboration: Liaising directly with site teams from head contractors to ensure designs are practical and safe.
Engineering Validation: Running the math on temporary loads, wind forces, and ground bearing capacities.
Site Inspections: Getting out of the office to sign off on your designs and ensure the build matches the blueprint.
You’ve got a few years of structural design under your belt (valued temporary works or heavy civil experience).
The Software: You’re highly proficient with AutoCAD, or similar structural analysis packages.
Communication: You’re a "straight-talker." You can explain a complex structural requirement to a Site Foreman just as easily as you can to a Project Director.
The Credentials: You hold a Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering, working towards or already registered to NER
Work on major infrastructure projects shaping Melbourne.
Culture: This company works hard, but doesn't do the stuffy corporate hierarchy. You’ll have a direct line to the owners and a team that actually likes a Friday afternoon debrief.
The Package: A competitive salary that reflects your worth in a high-demand market.
If you are a proactive and driven individual with a passion for civil construction, apply for the role now or contact ANTONIO CAIONE on antonio.caione@randstad.com.au or call on 0459 670 580.
At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
