We are partnering exclusively with a leading international financial services provider that delivers specialised insurance solutions to a niche sector. Known for their collaborative, people-first culture and commitment to protecting communities, they are currently seeking an autonomous and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their close-knit People & Culture team on a part-time basis.
Your initial focus will be playing a critical role in embedding and optimising their newly implemented internal system.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver accurate monthly payroll processing for approximately 150 FTE, including out-of-cycle runs, leave accruals, and terminations.
Support and drive payroll-related system enhancements, process testing, and documentation following the transition to Employment Hero Payroll (KeyPay).
Ensure full compliance with taxation, superannuation, statutory obligations, and the Banking, Finance and Insurance Award.
Perform comprehensive monthly payroll reconciliations (General Ledger, PAYG, superannuation) and prepare complex data analysis, including WGEA and regulatory reporting.
Act as the primary internal contact for all payroll queries, breaking down complex legislative or system issues into clear communication for employees and executives.
What we are looking for
Hands-on, demonstrated experience transitioning from an outsourced payroll model or from one payroll system to another.
Experience using Employment Hero Payroll / KeyPay is desirable.
Confident background in a standalone payroll position.
Previous experience within the BFI sector or a similarly tight Risk, Audit, and Compliance framework is highly regarded.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with a proven capability to showcase Payroll data to stakeholders.
High execution focus, a strong customer service ethos, and the confidence to advise stakeholders at all levels of the business.
