This is an opportunity to work on one of Australia's biggest infrastructure projects. This is a Federal Government position and the successful applicant will be skilled in fostering strong relationships and driving meaningful engagement on significant project/s. We're seeking a dynamic and proactive Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join the team in Sydney.
Key Accountabilities:
... - Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies to support the delivery of infrastructure project
Conduct stakeholder research and mapping, keeping the executive team informed, and developing and implementing engagement strategies aligned with project objectives
Prepare high-quality communication materials (briefing notes, correspondence, presentations, newsletters, reports) and coordinate engagement activities such as workshops, briefings, and industry events. You'll also manage memberships and conference programs
Monitor stakeholder sentiment and emerging issues, providing strategic advice and risk mitigation recommendations to project and executive teams
Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions in the project database and prepare regular reports to support data-driven decision-making
Key Accountabilities:
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify impacts, risks, and opportunities, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a culture of inclusion
- Ability to manage competing priorities, deliver to deadlines, and identify and evaluate project risks
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Consultation Manager
- A minimum of five years' experience in stakeholder and/or community engagement roles
- Experience in infrastructure projects is highly desirable
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of training and experience in communications, or community and stakeholder engagement
- IAP2 accreditation highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage sensitive issues
Work Arrangements:
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Sydney. Some weekend and after-hours work may be required, and travel may be necessary to attend community and stakeholder events.
Eligibility:
You must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Baseline Vetting Level security clearance. This requires you to have lived in Australia, or have a verifiable background, for at least the preceding five years.
