We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join one of our clients for a critical digital transformation project. This role is central to designing and implementing the future IT landscape, focusing on a greenfield Microsoft cloud tenancy.
This contract requires deep technical expertise to support the MS Platform Discovery & Options project and the strategic evolution of the organisation's core IT architecture.
You will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of a completely new Microsoft cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and architecture for a new Microsoft cloud tenancy, including Azure, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and M365 services.
- Oversee and critically assess detailed solution architecture from external vendors, ensuring quality and alignment with enterprise principles.
- Deliver high-level and detailed solution designs for core services like identity and access management, networking, security, and collaboration platforms.
- Ensure smooth integration between Azure, M365, and existing enterprise systems.
- Work collaboratively with IT leadership and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business outcomes and long-term strategy.
- Conduct essential knowledge transfer and documentation for internal teams.
Your Expertise
This role requires a proven track record as a Solution Architect with hands-on experience in building out new Microsoft cloud environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Deep expertise as a Solution Architect in Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
- Demonstrated experience standing up a greenfield tenancy (Azure/M365), including:
- Entra ID setup and configuration (identity, access, federation, conditional access).
- Azure subscription design, landing zones, and governance (RBAC, policies, cost management).
- Implementation of security and compliance controls.
- M365 services ennoblement (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune/Endpoint Management).
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and cloud adoption best practices.
- Proven ability to produce clear, actionable architecture documentation and road maps.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing technical and executive levels.
- Familiarity with Microsoft licensing models and cost optimisation.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
Work Model: Hybrid policy: 3 days in the office, up to 2 days working from home.
