Randstad Digital is working with a fantastic Mining client in the Queensland market to find a Solutions Architect to join their team for a 12-month initial contract. This role is based in Brisbane’s CBD and has great WFH flexibility on a weekly basis. The Solutions Architect is responsible for transforming strategic business requirements into concrete, investment-ready ICT and digital initiatives. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to define problems, articulate value, design solutions, and ensure that business cases are robust, realistic, and aligned with client’s delivery capabilities.

- This role is ideally suited for a Business Development Manager or Business Engagement Lead with a strong technical background.
- Senior-level customer-facing experience with a proven ability to manage internal stakeholders and external vendors, including involvement in tender proposals and costing estimates for business changes.
- The candidate must possess a strong understanding of the IT/OT (Information Technology/Operational Technology) space and be capable of translating high-level concepts from in infrastructure and data. projects into detailed statements of work.
- The role involves working closely with the procurement team on Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
- While largely an independent role, there will be support, including an initial three-month shadowing period with the current project lead.
- Candidates from a mining background are highly encouraged to apply, as direct mining experience is not a strict requirement for this role.
Experience Required
- Strong business acumen and commercial analysis skills.
- Extensive experience in ICT/digital solution consulting, pre-sales, or business strategy.
- Deep experience in estimating ICT projects and shaping realistic delivery pathways, including shaping and costing large ICT/digital initiatives.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to bring stakeholders to alignment.
- Ability to lead collaborative business case development and investment readiness processes, with proven experience developing business cases and securing executive sponsorship.
- Experience in asset-intensive or industrial sectors is desirable.
