The Role
- Work in lockstep with the Site Manager and Project Manager to drive the construction program, manage critical paths, and consistently hit key project milestones.
- Take full ownership of the structures package, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously while managing high-volume trades, sub-contractors, and direct labour on-site.
- Utilise exceptional people management skills to coordinate large-scale site teams, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Bring advanced construction knowledge and sharp problem-solving skills to navigate complex site challenges seamlessly.
- Excel as a key collaborator within a large, sophisticated project team, while possessing the confidence and capability to operate independently as required.
Experience/Qualifications Required
To be considered for this high-profile position, candidates must demonstrate a premium track record with the following key credentials:
Head Contractor Background: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a site supervisor or delivery leadership role with a recognised and reputable Tier 1 or Tier 2 Australian Head Contractor. (Essential)
Major Project Exposure: A demonstrated track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex projects valued at $50M+ within the Australian market.
Positive Tenure & Stability: A consistent, stable employment history showcasing loyalty and a dedication to seeing major projects through to successful completion.
Advanced Build Knowledge: Exceptional construction knowledge with the proven ability to work autonomously, make critical on-site decisions, and drive project timelines.
Stakeholder Engagement: A natural ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and project stakeholders alike.
Qualifications: Trade background or relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Construction.
