A leading civil infrastructure firm, overseeing multimillion-dollar projects, is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Site Engineer to join their dynamic team on a contract basis to work on a major road infrastructure project in the Newcastle region.
General duties
... - Collaborate with the project manager and other stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate activities with various construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work conforms to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards for all materials.
- Ensure that contractual obligations are met and resolve any disputes that may arise
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including the project manager, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor project costs and expenditures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Proven experience in civil engineering across Earthworks, road, drainage etc..
- A strong focus on health and safety
- Effectively communicate in meetings with consultants, clients, management & on-site personnel.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English is a fundamental requirement.
This role is a site based role in Newcastle, therefore, candidates will need to be based in Newcastle Monday to Friday.
