The Role: Your Opportunity to GrowAs a Service Technician with our client, you'll be on the front lines, ensuring crucial waste processing equipment operates efficiently across various client sites. This role is perfect for someone looking to expand their technical horizons and gain invaluable experience. Your responsibilities will include:
Hands-on Repair and Maintenance: You'll be performing expert repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide range of waste processing conveyors & equipment, waste compactors, and balers. Get ready to put your technical training to practical use!
Solving Real-World Breakdowns: You'll attend to urgent equipment breakdowns, diagnosing issues, and implementing effective solutions. Every day brings a new challenge and a chance to hone your problem-solving skills.
Proactive Servicing: You'll carry out routine preventative maintenance services, learning how to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of complex industrial systems.
Team Collaboration: You'll work closely with their spare parts department and office support team, honing your communication skills and becoming an integral part of a supportive network.
Professional Documentation: Learn the ropes of accurate and thorough service documentation, a key skill for any successful technician.
Equipment Ownership: You'll be responsible for maintaining your service van and all assigned tools and equipment, ensuring everything is in top shape for every job.
Recently Qualified Talent: A trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, or a related field (e.g., Fitter & Turner, Electromech) is essential. We're especially keen to hear from those a couple of years post-apprenticeship, ready to launch their career.
Eager to Learn: While some proven experience in industrial machinery repair and maintenance is great, a strong desire to learn and develop your skills in waste management equipment, conveyors, compactors, or balers is key.
Natural Problem-Solver: You have strong diagnostic skills and a keen eye for detail, ready to troubleshoot and find solutions.
Great Communicator: You can clearly explain technical issues and work effectively with both colleagues and clients.
Proactive & Organized: You're someone who takes initiative and can manage tasks efficiently.
Safety Conscious: A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures is a must.
Driving Ready: A valid Australian driver's license is required.
