Join a leading Australian AML/CTF regulator as a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack Developer/Technical Lead) in a 12-month contract with a potential 24-month extension. Based in Sydney, NSW, this hybrid role requires a minimum of 2 days per week on-site, with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining time, subject to operational needs.
You will work on critical financial intelligence systems, including Palantir platforms, to support regulatory and compliance objectives. Key responsibilities include developing high-quality pipeline and API code, coordinating technical releases, mentoring junior staff, and proactively managing system reliability.
Essential Requirements:
- Must hold NV1 security clearance
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven expertise in Java, Scala, APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Agile methodologies (JIRA, Sprints, Scrums)
- Experience with secure data pipelines, compliance systems, and technologies like Spark, Postgres, HDFS, or Elastic Search
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Palantir, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of cloud deployment or COTS environments
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
