This role will be based in Melbourne in the West and North Western Inner Suburbs with a hybrid working setup.
About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader, Brand and Digital, this role sits within the Communications and Engagement section of Strategy & Partnerships. You will be critical in driving brand growth and engagement and supporting key communication programs, including customer billing recovery, ensuring content is timely, empathetic, and aligned with customer needs.
This role is a classification AT5 and is not a people leader position.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Advisor, Social Media, you will:
Own the Strategy: Develop and implement the social media strategy and content plan to ensure a constant supply of relevant content.
Grow the Brand: Take every opportunity to attract, build, and maintain a strong presence across social channels, working with the Content and Creative team to prioritise and schedule content.
Create Engaging Content: Source, generate, and produce engaging organic social content, including video and stories, and run paid social campaigns.
Manage the Community: Actively manage the community, monitoring and analysing audience behaviour. Maintain the brand's voice in all interactions, providing timely, accurate, and empathetic responses, particularly to billing-related enquiries.
Provide Insight: Analyse and report on engagement, growth, and ad performance, staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends.
Support Critical Communications: Coordinate with the Manager, Billing Communications, to align social media content with billing milestones and customer support priorities. You will also be required to support emergency and incident response communications and participate in an after-hours on-call roster.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar social media role.
Extensive experience with social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
Experience with social media analytics and reporting.
Experience in brand and marketing.
Tertiary qualifications in social media, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience/training.
Highly Desirable Experience:
Paid social advertising experience.
Experience with platforms like Sprout or Canva.
Experience managing external suppliers.
