Are you an experienced project professional looking for a fast-paced, high-impact role? We are currently seeking a Senior Project Advisor for a major infrastructure initiative based in Brisbane. This is an initial 4-month contract with the potential to extend to 6 months, offering the chance to play a central role in a highly complex and critical commercial outcome.
The Opportunity
You will provide essential project coordination, governance, and stakeholder management support for the commercial negotiation and implementation of a major contract variation. You will act as the central coordination point for the transaction process, maintaining momentum across a high-priority, time-critical transaction.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a complex environment and can seamlessly coordinate inputs from technical, legal, and commercial teams, as well as external advisors and executive stakeholders. Success in this position depends on your ability to quickly build productive relationships, manage competing priorities, maintain rigorous version control, and proactively drive actions to completion.
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating activities across multiple workstreams to support the successful delivery of the contract variation process.
- Developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, action registers, decision logs, and deliverable trackers to ensure activities remain on track and critical deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinating inputs from internal stakeholders, external advisor, and representatives of the delivery contract to ensure deliverable are provided within required time frames.
- Managing document control, version management, and comment resolution processes across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
- Stakeholders management: ensure commitments are delivered and issues are resolved efficiently.
- Supporting the preparation and coordination of executive briefings, governance papers, presentations, and other decision-making documentation.
- Monitoring progress against agreed milestones, identifying risks, issues, or delays that may impact time frames, and escalating matters where required.
- Facilitating effective communication and information sharing between stakeholders to support informed decision-making and alignment across the transaction process.
- Building and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support collaboration, accountability, and timely outcomes.
- Providing high-quality project coordination and governance support within a fast-paced environment, ensuring information is accurate, current, and readily accessible.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience providing project coordination or project management support in commercial, or contract-driven environments, including construction or engineering contexts.
- The ability to understand contractual and technical language.
- Worked on similar projects across infrastructure or construction environments.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage schedules, actions, dependencies, risks, and deliverable across multiple work streams.
- A demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently, exercising sound judgement to drive actions, resolve issues, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with demonstrated experience managing documentation, version control, information management, and comment resolution processes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and drive timely responses.
- High-level communication skills, including preparing clear written materials and presentations for audiences up to the executive level.
- Qualifications in project management or a related discipline are desirable.
