The Corporate Services division is a critical part of the organization, responsible for managing its financial, physical, and human resources. This includes overseeing business analysis, information technology, governance, risk, and records management. The Finance & Facilities team provides essential administrative, financial, and capital management services, playing a vital role in day-to-day operations.
The Opportunity: Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Finance & Facilities team. As the Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing procurement compliance and contract tendering (Max $250k), as well as managing facilities-related projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
... Procurement Management: Coordinate the end-to-end procurement process for major activities, including developing procurement plans, managing tenders, and negotiating contracts.
Contract Administration: Manage and negotiate contracts by applying the Contract Management Framework, preparing detailed documentation, and conducting supplier performance reviews.
Project Oversight: Lead accommodation and equipment acquisition projects, including project management, scoping, and tender evaluation.
Strategic Advice: Provide expert procurement and contract management advice to business areas to ensure alignment with the agency's strategic objectives and the Queensland Procurement Policy.
Policy and Process Development: Contribute to the ongoing review and development of procurement systems, policies, and processes to ensure best practice.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience in developing strategic procurement frameworks, policies, and practices.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating facility projects, including managing budgets and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
- Government Experience
Good humour
The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
While not a mandatory requirement, a Queensland Government Procurement Certification will be highly regarded.
