In this key role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating development appeals, while providing high-level planning advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders. Duties:
- Coordinate development applications and provide expert advice on complex development assessment appeals, leveraging your deep understanding of Queensland legislation.
- Utilise strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to achieve positive outcomes and deliver excellent customer service.
- Produce clear and concise written communication (correspondence, reports, procedures).
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification on Town Planning or similar
- Demonstrated high-level verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with a strong record of providing sound advice to both internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service when managing complex and sensitive matters.
- Proven experience in development assessment, supported by a comprehensive understanding of Queensland’s planning legislation and regulatory framework.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with a consistent ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-developed written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise correspondence, reports, and procedural documents.
