Senior Network Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team of a critical public service organisation in the Western Sydney Region.
This is an onsite position. Due to the critical nature of the infrastructure, the role includes participation in an after-hours on-call roster that requires mandatory onsite presence at facilities to resolve ICT emergencies.
Role & Core Responsibilities
As the technical lead for network services, you will be responsible for the overall health, design, and integrity of a large, high-availability hybrid network. Your core focus will be on:
Design and Implementation: Leading the design and implementation of the hybrid network across multiple facilities to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
System Management: Hands-on administration of core network services like DNS, DHCP, and environment monitoring within a mixed-vendor environment (HP/Aruba, Paloalto, Cisco)
Documentation & Quality: Developing and maintaining technical documentation and supporting continuous improvement of the Change Engagement process
Security and Compliance: Implementing security procedures and proactively monitoring the network infrastructure to prevent faults and comply with industry and state health policies.
