Randstad Recruitment is currently searching for Senior HSE Advisors in consideration for multiple roles across the Tier 1 & 2 Commercial Construction sector, Brisbane QLD.
In the role of a Senior HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, developing and supporting other members of HSE within the company structure, oversee high risk activities, complete incident investigations when required, develop and deliver Workplace Health and Safety programs, and champion a positive safety culture, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees & contractors.
Duties:
- Review and assess documentation and planning in relation to project delivery
- Provide industry expert advice and guidance for HSE plans and ensure alignment with QLD WHS legislation.
- Coordinate with Internal management to ensure safe conduct across sites, and to ensure requirements are being met under WHS legislation
- Communicate project requirements to projects teams and subcontractors
- Complete HSEQ inspections and assessments as required
- Document and report points of concern and implement appropriate actions to remediate said concerns
- Ensure safety systems and softwares across the business are implemented properly, and delegates are utilising them efficiently to maintain system compliance
- Monitor on-site high risk works and ensure staff are operating in a legislatively correct manner
- Commune with and assist other members of HSE as required
- Conduct and interpret incident investigation upon occurrence
Certification & Experience:
- Vocational or Tertiary qualification in WHS (Minimum Cert IV; Diploma Level Desirable)
- Open Driver’s License
- General Construction Induction “White Card”
- Full Working Rights within Australia
- Prior experience in Hammertech (Desirable)
- 5+ Years experience working in large scale commercial construction
- Previous experience with direct involvement of on site safety management
- Comprehensive understanding of QLD WHS Legislation
