About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in distribution design both underground and overhead to join a leading engineering consultancy on a permanent, full-time basis in Perth CBD Office, offering flexible work arrangements and leadership opportunities across major energy infrastructure projects.
This is a key technical leadership position that will see you working on UG/OH distribution design for both greenfield and brownfield utility and mining projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Overhead distribution design modelling 415V to 33kV
- Underground distribution extensions
- Underground distribution network upgrades
- Site inspections including:
- Preparation of design packages for client approval
- Preparation Bills of materials and estimation
- Training and support of junior team members
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Apply content and application of local utility standards
- Demonstrate design innovation and cost optimization as part of the design process
- Scoping notes
- Survey
- Soil resistivity measurements
About You:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrated experience with local power utilities
- Skills to work independently
- CAD Software proficiency in AutoCAD
- 5 to 10 years of Experience in electrical design of distribution networks
