Are you a seasoned Project Controls professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Senior Cost Controller to join a major energy player in Brisbane, managing a high-volume portfolio of diverse Brownfield projects.
This is a 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension, offering the chance to oversee a solid pipeline of work including bridge removals, facility upgrades, and essential infrastructure projects.

Your Impact
As a subject matter expert, you will provide the leadership and technical guidance necessary to keep projects within budget and on schedule. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Full Lifecycle Controls: Developing detailed budgets, managing periodic forecasting, and monitoring costs vs. budget.
- Trend Analysis: Identifying unfavorable trends early and recommending corrective actions to influence project outcomes.
- Contractor Management: Partnering with EPC/EPCM contractors to ensure accurate progress reporting and commercial compliance.
- Strategic Reporting: Compiling monthly project reports and providing data-driven insights for management presentations.
What You Bring
- Industry Expertise: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in major capital project execution, ideally within Oil & Gas or extractive industries.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong background in Capex/Opex estimating, change control, and cost forecasting. Experience with SAP, PRISM, or Primavera P6 is a major plus.
- Diverse Contract Knowledge: Proven ability to navigate various contract types, including lump sum, unit rate, and reimbursable environments.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to "challenge respectfully" and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Qualifications: Tertiary degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Commerce/Accounting.
