Crushing Operations Supervisor - Located Hendra!
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crushing Operations Supervisor to join our team in Hendra. This is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly rate of $42-$44, based on experience. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in crushing operations and materials handling.
Key Responsibilities
... Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 4-8 employees, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. You'll be responsible for scheduling, performance management, and fostering a positive team environment.
Crushing Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the crushing plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality control. This includes performing pre-start checks, monitoring equipment performance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
Plant and Equipment Operation: Confidently operate a variety of heavy machinery, including:
Loaders: Load materials into the crusher and move processed materials around the site.
Excavators with Grab Attachments: Efficiently handle and sort various materials, including concrete, bricks, and green waste.
Materials Handling: Manage the intake, sorting, and processing of materials to be crushed.
Safety and Compliance: Enforce and adhere to all site safety protocols and company policies. A current White Card is mandatory. You will conduct regular safety checks and toolbox talks to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
Maintenance: Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of machinery and the work area to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
Required Skills and Experience
Crushing Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in crushing operations is essential.
Heavy Machinery Operation: Extensive experience operating loaders and excavators, specifically with a grab attachment.
Team Leadership: Prior experience in a supervisory or team leader role is highly desirable. You should have a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
Safety Card: A current White Card is a non-negotiable requirement.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively manage your team and report to management.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to handle operational challenges and equipment issues.
