About the Role: The client is undertaking a significant Modern ERP Program to enhance staff efficiency, service delivery, and overall customer experience. We are seeking a highly experienced
SAP Technical Architect to play a crucial role in this transformation. This key position will report to the Modern ERP Core Technical Program Manager.
You will be responsible for developing, optimising, and overseeing the Modern ERP Program’s technical architecture, including conceptual and logical solution design. The role encompasses various architecture domains: Business, Information System (Data and Application), and Technology Architecture. You will define the broader roadmap across the SAP Application stack, evaluate technologies, determine and enforce standards, and architect models for data and control exchange to enable business outcomes. The architectural methodology will align with the Information Services Branch (ISB) EA guidelines.
Key Accountabilities:
Gathering, evaluating, and reconciling information from multiple sources to translate business needs into application and operational requirements.
Conferring with project managers and acting as a liaison between business and project teams, providing clarity, strategy, and direction.
Communicating key goals and deliverables to Executive Leadership.
Ensuring technical solution designs for the Modern ERP Platform align with a single core design and enterprise Architectural requirements.
Validating and challenging the quality of technical designs and solution build standards.
Accountable for integration protocols and patterns based on Service-oriented Architecture (SOA).
Accountable for the Technical Security Architecture Model enabling authentication and provisioning for ERP Platform applications and users.
Defining interim states for security authentication provisioning where end-state models cannot support deployments.
Assuring the ERP Platform Asset is built according to Enterprise Standards and accommodates business Non-Functional Requirements (NFR).
Mandatory Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of SAP capabilities and technologies, including RISE Private Cloud Edition, BASIS, authentication and authorization, ABAP and Netweaver development, across on-premise, PaaS, and SaaS deployment models.
In-depth knowledge and experience in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) aligned with ITIL 4 framework, enabled via SAP Solution Manager.
Experience in developing SAP Environment and Landscape topologies.
Experience deploying SAP products on Microsoft Azure iPaaS.
In-depth knowledge of Security and authentication protocols utilising Microsoft Active Directory.
Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions across SAP Domain and Microsoft Azure Platform.
Experience with Networks and Hardware Infrastructure components.
Demonstrated detailed knowledge of application interoperability.
Familiarity with TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Framework and ability to develop and document architecture artifacts across all domains (Business, Information Systems, Data, Technology).
Ability to develop strategies, roadmaps, and transition architectures using a light-touch EA approach.
Demonstrated experience operating at the Enterprise level within a complex ICT environment.
Desirable Requirements:
High level understanding of ERP systems such as SAP across relevant deployment models.
High level of skill with Office productivity tools (MS Office).
