The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially-minded SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud FICO Analyst to cover a period of parental leave from December 2025 to July 2026.
This is a critical, short-term contract requiring a deep, functional expert who can hit the ground running within our dynamic finance operations environment. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for our SAP S/4HANA Cloud system, acting as the crucial interface between our Finance team and the technology.
We are specifically looking for a Finance SAP S/4HANA Cloud expert—someone who not only understands the product in depth but also possesses the acumen to distinguish between issues that stem from training needs versus those that require escalation to SAP via CAS tickets. This judgement will be key to minimizing disruption and driving system stability.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and finance operations (e.g., CA or CPA), enabling them to truly understand the team's requirements and translate business needs into standard SAP Cloud functionality.
Key Responsibilities
As the SAP S/4HANA FICO Analyst, your duties will include:
Subject Matter Expertise & Support: Act as the first point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud modules (primarily Finance, with some exposure to Procurement and SD). Provide first-level functional support for all user queries.
Business Analysis & Improvement: Analyse complex business requirements, identify process improvements, and proactively recommend standard, best-practice SAP Cloud functionality.
Incident & Service Management: Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests using established ITSM processes. Prioritise issues effectively based on business impact.
System Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business users, implementation partners, and SAP support teams to ensure effective and timely issue resolution and successful system operation.
Integration Support: Support the integration strategy and delivery between SAP Cloud and other SAP and non-SAP applications.
Documentation: Develop and maintain high-quality functional specifications, configuration guides, and end-user test scripts.
Testing & Release: Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and essential release management activities for scheduled SAP Cloud updates.
Project Participation: Participate in adjacent projects as required to ensure SAP system alignment and integrity.
Skills & Experience Required
Finance Background (Must Have): A formal Finance qualification or equivalent experience (e.g., CA or CPA) is required to ensure a deep understanding of accounting practices and finance operations.
Technical Aptitude (Functional Focus): Must be a functional consultant with strong configuration skills rather than a highly technical ABAP/development specialist.
Communication & Judgement: Exceptional ability to diagnose user issues, provide effective training/guidance, and manage high-level external support channels (CAS tickets).
Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating with both technical teams and non-technical business users.
At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
