This role will suit an experienced payroll professional seeking a challenging and responsible role they can make their own.The OpportunityReporting to the Payroll Manager and communicating with a wide range of management and staff on a daily basis, your key responsibilities include the following:Managing a weekly payroll for approximately 1200 employeesProcessing starters, leavers and adjustmentsCalculating and maintaining leave balancesCompleting legislative requirements including PAYG, Superannuation and WorkCoverInterpreting and applying awards and contractsPreparing detailed payroll records, reports and documents for Finance and OperationsCompleting month-end processesResponding to payroll related inquiries in a timely mannerSupporting management with process improvement initiativesAbout YouThe successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll as well as:Experience processing payroll for more than 1200+ staffExcellent communication skills at all levels in the businessExperience in high volume data entry and employee queriesStrong customer service skillsSound payroll knowledgeExperience in award interpretationAbility to multitaskStrong Microsoft Word and Excel skillsFast Track and MicroPay experience advantageousApplications are accepted in Microsoft Word format including a personal summary paragraph addressed to Bridie Taglienti.
