Randstad is proud to partner with one of Australia’s leading local council organisations. This role will see you playing a pivotal role in the maintenance and construction of local assets within the designated region.

Duties

• Lead and role model customer focus behaviour by encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing.
• Work in partnership with your team leader to agree performance standards and mutual expectations. Give and receive regular feedback to enable performance to be improved and take personal responsibility for optimising your potential within the organisation.
• Prepare design and documentation for transport infrastructure projects to agreed quality, time and budget in partnership with the Design Manager
• Apply relevant design guidelines and legislation requirements to ensure work complies with community standards, meets legal obligations, and is consistent with Council policies.
• Conduct site inspections to obtain field measurements, make relevant observations to advise customers on technical matters.
• Manage personal time, priorities and workload to ensure work is completed on time as agreed with the supervisor.

Role Requirements

• Experience in engineering drafting systems, 12D, 3D, AutoCad
• Advanced diploma or higher in Civil Engineering
• Driver License
• White/Blue Card
• Local experience in road design, specifically intersections, roundabouts, bus stops and carparks

It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
