Randstad is partnering with a major player in residential waste management—a recession-proof, essential industry where your work truly matters. We're on the hunt for motivated, reliable, physically fit individuals to join the team as Waste Offsiders.
This is an immediate, hands-on start based at Sydney depots in Eastern Creek, Greenacre, Mascot, and Campbelltown. If you thrive on being active, value consistency, and are looking for long-term career stability and growth, this is your chance.
The Role: The Professional Athlete of the Kerbside
As a Waste Offsider, you are the backbone of the operation, responsible for keeping Sydney clean. You work right alongside the truck. Your job is straightforward: Get the rubbish, and keep the route moving. It's hard work, but essential.

- The Daily Dash: Collecting kerbside essentials—general waste, recycling, and green waste. Think of it as a highly focused, practical road trip.
Active Loading: Running with the truck and efficiently loading bins into the rear compactors.
Operational Control: Safely managing bin lifters and compactors.
Safety & Standards: Upholding rigorous safety protocols and correctly utilizing PPE. We work safely, or we don't work.
Community Connection: Interacting respectfully with the public while on your route.
Team & Adaptability: Providing unwavering support to your driver and smoothly navigating daily route changes.
Requirements
- Physically Fit: This is a demanding role. You must be able to run/walk up to 15-20 km per day and lift bins up to 30 kg.
- Reliable transport is a MUST to get to the depot for early starts.
- A strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- The ability to pass a mandatory drug & alcohol test and a police check.
- Experience in waste collection or other physically demanding outdoor work is a bonus but not essential.
What We Offer
- $38 - $43 per hour (plus superannuation, allowances, overtime and penalties).
- Consistent Monday to Friday shifts. Get your work done early (starts between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM) and keep your afternoons/weekends free.
