Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Reliability Engineer within a leading mining and resources organisation. Due to a commitment to asset performance and reduction of condition monitoring, this exciting opportunity is available. Interviews and commencements will occur over the next few weeks.
You will provide effective technical expertise and engineering governance to a range of workshop maintenance projects. Electrical and Mechanical Engineering discipline roles available.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Give guidance to execution and engage discipline engineers and OEM specialists as required to minimize downtime duration
- Assess and prioritise equipment based on criticality, lifecycle and historical data
- Review master data, engineering drawings and other information to establish equipment details
- Build & develop equipment maintenance strategies. Ensure associated task lists and work instructions are updated into 1SAP
- Assist to develop a maintenance budget, procedures and work instructions
- Complete up front execution project works
- Perform quality checks for execution tasks as required
- Assist in creation of scopes for repairable components
The successful candidate will possess:
- A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a mining or major maintenance position
- Thorough understanding of FMECA and RCM processes
- Ability to perform measured and accurate work across all depth levels, from high level gap assessments to detailed equipment specific failure analysis
- SAP and Master Data knowledge
- Previous experience with maintenance workshop equipment, including lathes, overhead cranes, automated vehicles, lift jacks, etc. would be highly regarded
- Excellent computing skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly technical and detailed
- Current unrestricted drivers license
- Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude
