The Opportunity

My client, a specialised engineering consultancy, is seeking an entrepreneurial leader to drive their strategic expansion into Queensland. They are renowned for providing comprehensive advisory and technical services across the entire energy sector—End to End solutions. This is a unique opportunity to lead a new regional presence for a team of experts who navigate complex energy projects in a competitive commercial environment.

This is a high-impact, autonomous position based in Brisbane where you will act as the firm's representative in the state. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping their regional success, with responsibilities spanning market development, commercial strategy, operational management, and building key partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive strategic market intelligence and business development in the Queensland renewable energy sector.
• Represent the firm and build strong relationships with local stakeholders, industry bodies, and government entities.
• Oversee regional project delivery, collaborating with national engineering and operations teams.
• Lead the setup and growth of the Brisbane office, including recruitment and team development.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the project pipeline.

About You

You are a strategic and operational leader with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the renewable energy, transmission & distribution, or infrastructure sectors. You hold a Degree in Electrical, Renewable, or Energy Engineering and have a proven track record of managing complex projects. Your technical knowledge of solar, wind, BESS, and grid connections is extensive, and you have a strong understanding of the Australian energy market, particularly in Queensland. RPEQ status is highly desirable.
