What You’ll Do:
As a Property Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Validate construction budgets and assess cost-to-complete.
- Reconcile actual project costs against approved budgets.
- Evaluate builder quotes and invoices for funding accuracy.
- Monitor project variations, retentions, and claims.
- Update and maintain loan costing models throughout the project.
- Coordinate and prepare capital call and drawdown documentation.
- Manage loan drawdowns, ensuring all funding conditions are met.
- Maintain loan and project ledgers, performing monthly reconciliations.
- Prepare project-level financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements in finance processes.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction finance, property accounting, or non-bank lending.
- Understanding of construction costings, progress claims, and builder payments.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Understanding of private credit and first mortgage structures.
- Attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
- CA/CPA qualification is preferred.
