We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our dedicated Program Management Office (PMO) team. This role is critical to the successful delivery of several high-profile initiatives aimed at modernizing our technology landscape and improving service delivery across the state.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with Program Managers, Project Directors, and key vendor partners on multi-million dollar, strategic programs. Your expertise will be vital in developing, managing, and maintaining integrated program schedules that reflect the true path to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development & Maintenance: Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded master schedules for complex ICT transformation and systems integration programs.
Baseline Management: Establish, track, and manage schedule baselines, ensuring all changes are formally controlled and documented.
Integrated Scheduling: Integrate internal project schedules with vendor schedules (including major systems integrators) to create a single, cohesive Program Schedule.
Performance Reporting: Produce regular, accurate schedule performance reports, including critical path analysis, variance analysis, and "what-if" scenarios.
Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to gather updates and validate schedule progress and forecasts.
Risk & Dependency Management: Identify schedule risks, dependencies, and constraints, and collaborate with the PMO team to develop mitigation strategies.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Project Scheduler on large-scale, complex ICT transformation or systems integration programs, preferably within a Government context.
Tool Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in scheduling tools, particularly MS Project (Microsoft Project).
Schedule Management: Strong practical experience in establishing and managing baseline schedules, performing critical path analysis, and managing schedule integrity.
Vendor Management: Experience in integrating and managing complex, interdependent vendor schedules into a master program schedule.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex schedule data clearly to executive and technical audiences.
Methodology: Understanding of standard project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall) and their impact on scheduling practices.
