Join the the Crisis and Emergency Management Branch of this key government agency in a critical role supporting the Liquid Fuels Emergency Operations Centre (LiFEOC)
As fuel security becomes an increasingly vital priority for the state, we are seeking a sophisticated Project Manager to coordinate and drive high-stakes preparedness activities. You will be at the heart of ensuring NSW is ready for impacts and changes arising from current global and local fuel pressures.
Key Responsibilities
This is a fast-paced role requiring the management of multiple, concurrent workstreams with a specific focus on data-driven planning and operational readiness.
- Program Orchestration: Plan, direct, and coordinate complex activities to enhance fuel security preparedness across the transport cluster.
- Concurrent Workstream Management: Lead diverse workstreams simultaneously, specifically those focused on data analysis, strategic planning, and crisis response frameworks.
- Data & Insights: Leverage data to inform prioritisation and scheduling, ensuring the agency remains ahead of potential fuel-related disruptions.
- Multi-Agency Diplomacy: Navigate a complex web of stakeholders across government and industry with finesse, ensuring alignment on critical deliverables.
- End-to-End Accountability: Manage day-to-day resourcing, task coordination, and rigorous reporting to ensure objectives are met within tight, time-sensitive windows.
You are a seasoned Project Manager who remains calm under pressure and possesses the professional maturity to handle sensitive, high-priority subject matter.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Proven Program Expertise: A track record of delivering projects within complex, time-sensitive, or emergency management environments.
- Analytical Rigour: Strong skills in data analysis and the ability to translate complex data sets into actionable project plans.
- Stakeholder Finesse: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple agencies and internal branches.
- Operational Agility: The ability to pivot between strategic planning and hands-on task coordination across various workstreams.
This is an initial 4 month engagement, which depending on this ever situation may extend for a few more months. Hybrid work arrangements are offered however, the need to be flexible and work in the Parramatta office fulltime due to operation of the team may arise. Candidates who can start at short notice are desired.
