As the Project Manager, you will be required to manage multiple Commercial builds across Melbourne constructing D&C projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Pre-Construction:
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develop and manage the master project schedule and budget.
Oversee the bidding process and manage contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
Secure necessary permits, resources, and materials for project commencement.
Project Execution:
Supervise daily on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Coordinate and manage all subcontractors and field personnel.
Proactively identify and resolve technical, operational, and site-specific issues to prevent delays.
Implement and enforce a comprehensive safety plan, conducting regular site inspections and safety meetings.
Financial & Administrative Management:
Continuously monitor project costs and expenditures against the approved budget.
Process and approve all project-related invoices and payments.
Document, price, and negotiate change orders with clients and subcontractors.
Maintain organised and accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and daily logs.
Communication & Leadership:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
Provide clear and consistent leadership to the project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Prepare and present detailed progress reports to stakeholders, outlining project status, budget, and any potential risks.
Key Requirements:
Demonstrative experience as a Project manager in Commercial Construction in Australia.
Strong financial understanding of projects - require previous experience as a Contract Administrator
- A strong, friendly attitude to the construction industry
A team player, who is willing to lead by example
Excellent administrative, communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
- Design & Construct Project experience is essential
