Project Manager – SAP Programs

A consulting business is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex SAP HANA initiatives across large enterprise and government environments. This role requires strong delivery leadership, technical understanding of SAP landscapes, and the ability to operate within structured governance and security frameworks.
The role is open to candidates based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Canberra, with an expectation to work onsite in the closest office 2–3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Lead SAP HANA implementation, upgrade, migration, and optimisation initiatives
Manage full project lifecycle delivery from initiation through to closure
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk plans, and governance artefacts
Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
Oversee change management, cutover planning, and transition to operations
Provide accurate project reporting, financial tracking, and milestone management
Ensure compliance with organisational, government, and ICT security frameworks
Drive continuous improvement across delivery practices and quality assurance
Skills and Experience
Extensive experience delivering complex SAP transformation or SAP HANA projects
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, hosting environments, and migration approaches
Proven experience managing large-scale technology programs within government or enterprise environments
Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and external vendors
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level reporting
Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
Solid governance, risk management, and financial management capability
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Project Management, IT, Business, or a related discipline
Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) is highly desirable
Security Requirements
Australian Citizenship is required
Baseline Security Clearance is mandatory
NV1 clearance is highly regarded
