About the role
... - As one of their Project Managers, you will be expected to take full ownership of the project. Programming is a key requirement of the role.
- As the successful Project Manager the role would suit someone who can comfortably perform on projects over $15 million AUD from a Commercial, Industrial or Civil Australian recognised builder.
About the Projects
They are very well known for building exceptional projects with a lot of mixed Industrial "Tilt ups", and structural steel for manufacturing outlets, Warehouse’s, Storage facilities and University upgrades. For their commercial new build projects they run a lot of repeat client work for government projects that fall under GC21 contracts and DFAT.
Ideally you will possess a pleasing portfolio working for Australian recognised Contractors and over 8 years experience working on similar build projects in Australia. Please note Project Managers for re-location will be required to do a police check before commencement.
Duties:
- Preparing programmes
- Forecasting
- Budgets
- Costing
- Financial Reporting
- Adherence to BCA standards
- Site Inspections, establishment and testing.
- Daily and Monthly reporting
- OH&S
- Subcontractor site Inductions
- Client Care
- Managing onsite issues
- Working to deadlines, contract and project time frames.
Requirements:
- You will have a minimum of 8 year’s experience working on similar projects ideally for a Tier 1, 2 or 3 Builder in Australia.
- Professional delivery of Commercial, Industrial projects, end to end.
- Degree in Construction management or Civil Engineering
- Knowledge of construction – including steel and precast – and building codes and regulations
- On-site construction experience
- Commitment to safety and quality compliance
- Multi-project planning and coordination
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Great communicator
- Ability to work with Site Managers, sub-contractors and Contracts Administrators
- Manage project budgets
- Ability to problem solve
- Willing to travel across NSW
- Working knowledge of Office 365, Teams, Sharepoint
- Working knowledge of Procore or similar would be an advantage.
- You will be highly motivated and ambitious with drive and passion in a leadership capacity.
- Confident and looking to exceed in all facets of your work. Delivering on time and on Budget.
- Exceptional Communication skills
- Computer – Use of Microsoft Project
- A “can do” positive attitude and confidence.
- Good management approach.
