Your New Position
The Product Manager will take full commercial and technical ownership of the Device Connectors (DC) portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. This role is responsible for the complete lifecycle management, strategic marketing development, and day-to-day management of the assigned product range. Acting as the regional product champion, the successful candidate will bridge the gap between technical engineering capabilities and market-facing commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify suitable product ranges for target ANZ markets.
- Execute promotional plans aligned with marketing strategy.
- Research competitor activities and market trends.
- Analyse regional performance to improve commercial outcomes.
- Manage new product releases, manuals, and market penetration.
- Drive launches, promotions, trade exhibitions, and roadshows.
- Manage the advertising budget and control expenditures.
- Set product price points with the National Sales Manager.
- Establish pricing for special projects and tenders.
- Create technical and sales training materials for staff and customers.
- Provide product training to distribution partners.
- Maintain a quarterly schedule for effective knowledge delivery.
- Liaison with local and global suppliers, attending overseas training.
- Develop and update the commercial project pipeline.
- Resolve critical customer technical, sales, or delivery issues.
Your Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline (ESSENTIAL)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a dedicated product management role (ESSENTIAL)
- Demonstrated success in executing product launches and driving lifecycle marketing strategies.
- Prior experience successfully collaborating with international manufacturing sites and overseas suppliers.
- Strong commercial acumen, financial management skills, and accountability for budgets and pricing frameworks.
- Advanced strategic planning, prioritisation, and project management capabilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a high level of negotiation expertise.
- The ability to effectively influence, lead, and motivate cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- A strong customer-service orientation combined with robust numerical and technical analytical skills.
